The March 06:22
Like a howl from the outlands Cries of ravening steel Mountains rise from the black soil Sons of northern darkness they bleed We take that path that leads through the woods Over to lands bleak and cold I light the way with fire and steel Ships burn and show us the way But under this black sun, nothing shall grow Held in these winds nothing can grow But in the new lands, we are shunned by the gods And in the new lands, prophesized to die young Sorrow and bitterness, claim not your soul For a shadow's behind us! Ride out the skies! Northern Darkness rise! But under this black sun, nothing shall grow Held in these winds nothing can grow Our tale is the same one, old as is time Sung by our fathers, in the old sacred rhyme We carry on, through the blistering cold Grim is our darkness, as such, it is told! As such it is sung, as such it is woven In dreams of ancient days long gone Now arise the tyrants, on shining armor, on horses To lead the march
2.
Step across the precipice into another realm Feel the maddening despair claw onto thy self Is there anything that you would like to say? Before they take your life away from this place This is my time To end it all To rise again In another world A moonless night Cold like grief A song to the Sorrow I can feel the clawing in my heart Feel the cold rush to your soul See darkness embrace you as its own It takes but one simple step To separate yourself from the rest Was there no god? Was there no kingdom? Was there no peace? Was there no song? Enthroned Bereft Forgotten Sorrow Enthroned Bereft Forgotten Enthroned Bereft Forgotten A Song to the Sorrow
3.
Into the abyss of mourning I look to the shadow's side Search for the mystical answer In the ancient scrolls torn by time Where the eye cannot see I must open my mind To the forbidden regions I ride into the night And as the shadow gate, it opens My passionate secret is laid bare A pendant of fire cold as ice In my heart void of light Take me to the night! But to thyself, you cannot lie A light still burns within my breast Can we challenge all that we know? Can you walk with shadows in tow? The time of peace was over The age of war was near You try to fight your desires But to ourselves, we cannot lie We could be the chosen few To spread our wings and toast to darkness And with our word, and with our spell Blot out the sun If northern darkness ruled the sky But in my grave It's so cold And dark So cold!

We weep the moonless night Var blåser vinden? Vart tog den vägen? Bort ifrån hemmet Ut i världen Högt upp på beget Där blåser vinden för alla dom som ska dö Var blåser vinden? Vart tog den vägen? Bort ifrån hemmet Ut i världen Can you feel the wicked wind? Mountains they rise Can you feel the wicked wind? Blowing inside Lost in caverns gone with time Hidden from eyes From the tower hear a cry A soul reaps in the night Conjuring the winds that blow! Var blåser vinden? Vart tog den vägen? Bort ifrån hemmet Ut i världen Hear the cry of the wind!

Natassja 06:17
I stare into the abyss where the road ordained will lead I fall into her arms but can't accept the hopeless truth For as the moment is come I am weak, and not strong like it was foretold Lawless and cold, it washes over me In the unknown, the winds grow silent Yet rage a stormy howl And in this chaos so quiet I don the shadowed cowl And in the highest room of my tower There is lit a black light A darkness that burns forever Natassja awakes tonight In her majesty Forever Natassja, mother to the child That lives in me and with darkness is entwined In her Majesty Forever Natassja, mother to the child That lives in me and with darkness is entwined And with one touch, bewitched And with one spell, doomed from the first Natassja, will you be my bride? To walk with me through darkness and time

Vandraren 05:19

Dawn the everlasting night Over a kingdom so cold Let the gates ring shut Let the breath of the people hold The dead soldiers that rattle their graves Rise up from catacombs A new season approaches Let the old kings wither and die Thine kingdom is dead Thine shadow enthroned Legions are black Frost and chaos rule the night Stand before the keep, look upon the battlements Lines of spears, protector of the gates Sound now the horn, prepare for the charge Cometh the new king! Cometh the new reign! Blood of my enemies Blood upon the gates Storm the walls Take back the realm Thine winter realm, no more Thine winter realm, forever Thine winter realm, let die Thine winter realm, reborn

about

After a lengthy wait, from Sweden comes the second album of epic black assault Cirkeln. Filled with northern heavy metal riffs, protoblackened screams and even doom deliberation, it proves worthy of the long anticipation.

Following up from Cirkeln's 2020 debut, "A Song To Sorrow" is an intimate and personal tale of sole member Våndarr's struggle with his own sanity. Within these 8 tracks, he sheds the darkest truths and lies of his past in the hope that they may illuminate the path for those who wander without light to show them the way.
